A scuba divemaster, avid sailor, and a private pilot, Ann Eichenmuller believes it is never too late to learn something new. A former Maryland educator and recipient of the Washington Post’s Agnes Meyer Award for Excellence in Teaching, Ann took up her pen in 2015 and began a second career as a writer. Starting with marine journalism, her articles have appeared in All at Sea, Chesapeake Style, Boating Times, and Chesapeake Bay Magazine, earning her four Boating Writers International Awards. A camping enthusiast and lover of all things vintage, Ann was also the creator of Motorhome Magazine‘s “Classic Ride” column and a contributing writer for RV Magazine, RV Lifestyle, and RV Trader. Ann published her first novel, Kind Lies, in 2017, a mystery/romance with a unique heroine that drew on her own experiences living aboard a sailboat. The popular series grew to include The Lies We Are, The Lies Beneath, and her most recent novel, Drowning in Lies, all set in part in the Northern Neck and along the Intracoastal Waterway. Ann and husband Eric live off Morattico Creek in a restored 1886 farmhouse, which she calls “the perfect place to write.”
